National Wear Red Day is February 2nd
National Wear Red Day is an annual awareness campaign held on the first Friday in February to raise awareness about heart disease, the leading cause of death in the United States. The campaign, part of American Heart Month, encourages people to wear red to show their support and learn about heart health, particularly for women, who may experience heart disease differently than men, according to the American Heart Association.
You have the power to protect yourself against heart disease. Adding more movement to your day and taking care of your body can make a big impact! Seeking physical therapy is a good first step.
How to Participate: Wear red, spread awareness, and learn about heart health resources.
Resources: The American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign provides resources and information on their website WearRedDay.org.
