Did you know?
68% of injuries in golfers are associated with poor flexibility or muscle imbalances
Around 62% of golf-related injuries are caused by overuse
Approximately 30.8% of golf injuries are in the lower back
Golfers are 2.5 times more likely to suffer a lumbar spine injury compared to non-golfing athletes

Here’s Why!
The golf swing is an explosive movement, especially for the spine and low back. This “crunch factor”, a side bending and rotation during a swing causes high levels of stress in the lower back.
Elbows and wrists are impacted from striking the ground, ball impact, and repetitive motion. Rotator cuff injuries are a by-product of not rotating the lower torso fully, putting added stress on the shoulders.
Causes of Pain:
Aging and heavier bodies
Playing multiple rounds in a week
Carrying heavy golf bags
Weak muscles
Preexisting low back pain
Repetitive motions
Poor swing mechanics
Lack of warm-up stretching
Amateur to the sport
Let us help…
We can prescribe the appropriate strength and endurance exercises at home. These will include core strengthening, stretching, and support for all the major muscle groups. The goal will be to help decrease your injury rate and increase your playing time unhampered by pain.
